What is it?
A Dilapidation Report is a full survey of the adjoining property to a proposed construction works, prepared by the builder, developer or home owner with the adjoining owner. The survey records all existing cracks and defects.
Why would you need one?
This can be carried out on new building (to rectify defects whilst the builder is on site) or existing buildings (which empowers the Strata Manager as to which levels of maintenance require urgent action and to upkeep the serviceability of the buildings insurances and tenancies).
How long will it take?
This is usually completed within 7-14 days.
