What is it?
This is a permit that is given for work previously carried out without a permit. The owner may or may not have known that he work needed a permit, but it has come to the attention of the authorities.
In getting the permit we would liaise between owners, neighbouring owners, council and contractors in order to develop a scope of works, obtain quotes and liaise with professionals for the permits and documentation needed.
Why would you need one?
You have received a notice from local authorities. This is usually discovered during a building survey or inspection carried out in getting a property ready for sale, or due to a complaint from a third party (e.g. a neighbor).
How long will it take?
This would depend on any rectification work that may be required. Where no rectification work is required, the turnaround could be as quick as 7-14 days.
